| Abstract | Video: The White Stork is a bird admired and protected by the majority of the Portuguese and European population. Although it is possible to observe it in the Iberian Peninsula throughout the year, it is more abundant from November, when it arrives to nest, form couples and reproduce. The nests are built in high places and the young storks spend a few months there before they are able to fly and search for their own food. Let's stare at them and find out a bit more about your day-to-day. / Video: A Cegonha-branca é uma ave admirada e protegida pela maioria da população Portuguesa e Europeia. Embora seja possível observá-la na Península Ibérica durante todo o ano, é mais abundante a partir de Novembro, altura em que chega para construir o ninho, formar casais e reproduzir-se. Os ninhos são construídos em locais elevados e as jovens cegonhas passam aí alguns meses antes de estarem aptas a voar e a procurarem o seu próprio alimento. |
