Abstract Invasive alien plants are changing the ecosystems and their functions, and reducing the abundance and diversity of native flora. The preservation of native ecosystems and biodiversity considering the impacts of these invasive species has received special attention in the recent times. This subject requires detailed and individual studies to mitigate and in a certain way predict the impacts and problems that could result from invasions in order to be able to protect and preserve native species and their habitats / As plantas exóticas invasoras têm transformado os ecossistemas e as suas funções, reduzindo a abundância e a diversidade da flora nativa.
