Abstract This dataset contains the best solutions obtained from applying a systematic spatial planning tool (Marxan with Zones; Watts et al., 2009) to identify two different Green and Blue Infrastructure (GBl) designs. (1) A baseline scenario considering the current status and distribution of biodiversity and ES in the study area and (2) a second scenario where the restoration of degraded habitats using an Ecosystem-Based Management approach is incorporated in the design of the GBl. Specifically, the outcome of the scenario including EBMs was a GBI that prioritized potential restoration areas for the investment in EBM measures to reach the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2020 target 2 (i.e., restoring at least 15 % of degraded ecosystems by 2020). GBl is shown as a network of connected planning units.
